My Iraqi War Bride

My Iraqi War Bride is the story of an unlikely love, which transcends cultural and religious differences. Captain Daniel K. Crosby, "Danny" of the United States Marine Corps, enlists immediately following the September 11th attacks. While completing his military training, he meets two Marines, Demetri Dawski, Dex, of St. Petersburg, Russia and Austin Miller of Withlacoochee, Florida.

Their bond as soldiers and as friends would be forged, tested, and ultimately strengthened on the battlefield. Danny finds himself in Iraq enduring the brutality of war, isolated from his loved ones, and facing the constant threat of death. His meeting with Yasmin Nasri, a young interpreter from Iraq, would place him at the crossroads of two great cultures. Their attempts to overcome the many obstacles to their relationship, is a testament to the power of love.
